Process to Obtain Your RAKEZ Free Zone License

We guide you through the following steps to set up your business in RAKEZ Free Zone:

1. Choose Your Legal Structure

Based on shareholder count and liability, decide on a suitable legal entity, Branch, FZE, or FZ LLC. This forms the legal foundation for your business setup in the free zone.

2. Define Your Business Activity

Select the business activity that aligns with your operations from RAKEZ’s approved list. Ensure it accurately reflects your services to avoid compliance issues.

3. Select an Office Solution

Choose from virtual offices, flexi-desks, private offices, or larger commercial spaces. RAKEZ offers flexible options, including coworking, executive, and shell & core setups.

4. Secure Necessary Approvals

Depending on your chosen activity, obtain pre-approvals from relevant authorities. Some activities may also require post-license approvals to proceed.

5. Submit Your License Application

Residence Visa Process for RAKEZ FZ Companies

Step 1: Establishment Card Application & E-Channel Registration

Apply for the Establishment Card: A crucial document required to process visa applications.
Register for E-Channel Services: Compulsory for all Emirates except Dubai.

Step 2: Submit E-Visa Application

Our team processes the e-visa application, ensuring all necessary documents are submitted, including:

  • Business license
  • Establishment card
  • Passport copy
  • Passport-size photo
  • Current visa or cancellation paper (if applicable)

Step 3: E-Visa Issuance and UAE Entry

Once the e-visa is issued, you can use it to enter the UAE and apply for change of status. If you're already in the UAE during e-visa application, a change of status will be processed and the free zone will give you an e-visa.

Documents Required for RAKEZ Free Zone Company Formation

To establish a company in RAKEZ, the following documents are required.

For Individual Shareholders:

  • Passport copy of shareholder(s) and manager(s)
  • Recent UAE entry stamp, visit visa, or residence visa copy
  • Emirates ID (for UAE residents)
  • Proof of address for shareholder(s) and manager(s)
  • Passport-sized photographs of shareholder(s) and manager(s)
  • KYC form and sanctions declaration
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

For Corporate Shareholders:

  • Trade license of the parent company
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Memorandum of Association & Articles of Association (MOA & AOA)
  • Board resolution approving company formation in RAKEZ
  • Certificate of Incumbency/Good Standing
  • Required documents for individual shareholders as mentioned above
